Registration

I) First-time registration:

When registering for the the first time after admission, student must bring the original or legalized copies (foreign students) of his/her academic titles, together with the ID or passport. Please contact the administrative office for more information.

II) Registration of courses:

Doctorands who have been assigned training supplements in their admission, or those who wish to complete their training, can register for the courses offered in the program of the Master in Electronic Engineering, or other Masters offered in UPC. Registration will be made within the doctoral studies, in the administrative office, with the price per credit of the Master selected. As an orientative reference, registration for courses is open from September 5th to Sept. 15th (fall term) and from February 5th to Feb. 15th (spring term). In this website you can find an orientative list of specilization courses offered in the Master in Electronic Engineering, although we recommend that you visit the website of the School that offers each Master program in order to find updated information as well as professors and timetables.

 

III) Registration of annual tutorship:

All doctorands must register yearly for doctoral tutorship (except if they are granted a temporary interruption). If the doctorand does not register for doctoral tutorship one academic year, and has not been granted a temporary interruption, he will receive a non-satisfactory evaluation in his/her annual tutorship. Registration for annual tutorship should be done preferrably before mid-October, although registration can also be done in other months, exceptionally. IV) Other registrations:

Registration of other activities within the doctorate (thesis deposit, etc.), or of any other administrative procedure (academic certificates, etc), is open all year round, except for holiday periods.  You can use these links to check the public prices as well as registration aids (for Spanish citizens only).

 

General instructions:
  1. For any of the registrations you have to fill this form, attach any requested documentation and have them signed by you and your tutoring professor. You can bring them personally to the administration office or send them by e-mail to the addresses shown at the bottom. The administration office will check the data provided and complete the registration.
  2. You have five payment options:
    1. Direct debit: You will need to submit your application for registration that has been stamped by the bank and includes your account number, or a statement of your account details that proves that you are the account holder.
    2. In instalments: You will need to submit your application for registration that has been stamped by the bank and includes your account number, or a statement of your account details that proves that you are the account holder. On the application, you will need to state that you wish to pay in instalments. The first instalment can be in cash or by direct debit, but the second one is always by direct debit and will be carried out from 15th December. (NOTE: registrations done into the second semester do not allow payment in instalments).
    3. Cash: You will need to pay the lump sum at any of the banks listed on the enrolment form.
    4. Credit card: You can pay by credit card via the e-Secretaria.
    5. Línia oberta online banking: You can pay using the Línia oberta online banking system via the e-Secretaria.
  3. The refund of registration fees will cover only periods and circumstances specified in Article 13.5.3 of the Budget of the UPC.
  4. Failure to pay registration fees within the stipulated period will lead to cancellation of registration with loss of any amounts already paid during the academic year and loss of any qualification obtained also in that academic year.
  5. This University will demand the payment of any pending amount due to registration on previous academic years as a requirement to registration or for degrees or certificates requests.
