- Annual Evaluation: is it necessary to upload a new version of the Research Plan document?
The last version of the Research Plan should be in Atenea PhD for the Annual Evaluation so that the Academic Commission can access it. Each year, you may update the Work Plan, in agreement with your supervisor. In that case, you must submit a new version of the Research Plan, and your supervisor must validate it, indicating the changes made.
- Why does the DAD not show the title of the thesis and thesis supervisor?
The title and supervisor does not appear in the first version of Atenea PhD. This functionality will be implemented in new versions of the platform.
- Why do I not have access to Atenea PhD?
As a PhD student, you should have access to Atenea PhD. Put a ticket to solve the problem.
- Why do I not have access to DRAC?
As a PhD student, you should have access to DRAC. Put a ticket to solve the problem.
- There are missing papers or activities in my DAD
The DAD reflects the activities registered in DRAC. Make sure that the activities are in DRAC and that they are visible in the DAD. If they are not in DRAC, you should enter the activity information in DRAC,
- Why do I not have permission to upload my Research Plan?
The Research Plan can be uploaded only in the period defined by the Program administration, announced in advance. Before uploading the document, also your supervisor needs to give you authorization.
- My external supervisor does not have access to Atenea PhD
External supervisors may request for access to Atenea PhD. In the case they do not have access, validation can be done by a UPC co-supervisor or the UPC tutor.
- My two external co-supervisors do not have access to Atenea PhD
External supervisors may request for access to Atenea PhD. In the case they do not have access, validation can be done by the UPC tutor.
- How do I validate attendance to a conference as a specific training activity?
The conference already appears as a paper in DRAC. To prove your attendance, you should upload your attendance certificate in the DAD section “Other documents”.
- I cannot generate the DAD.
Only the supervisors can generate and validate the DAD. You can only generate a preview to check that all your activities are correctly reflected.
Supervisors
- I don’t see my doctorand in Atenea PhD
Most probably, Prisma is not updated with your supervising information. You should contact eel.doctorat@upc.edu and ask to update Prisma.
- My doctorand did not yet present the Research Plan. Is the annual evaluation applicable?
Yes. All registered students need to pass annual evaluation. In the first year before they have presented the Research Plan, only the DAD and associated comment is needed.
- Do I need to validate the Research Plan?
Yes. You need to 1) Authorize your doctorand to upload the document; 2) Validate and make a short comment.
- Do I need to validate the Thesis Deposit?
Yes. Thesis Deposit procedure is identical to the Research Plan valildation.
- How do I validate the DAD?
You need to generate a DAD snapshot, and then mark a Pass/Fail switch, together with a short description of the work update. All generated DADs are stored for later reference.
- Do both co-supervisors need to validate research Plan/DAD/Thesis Deposit?
